To celebrate their return to live and make a lasting first impression on their HQ's new home at The Wharf in Washington DC, we partnered with The Atlantic to put on a 3-day festival worthy of the occasion.
Over the course of four months leading up to the event we worked tirelessly to design a festival campus spread out across four venues; the Ideas Stage at Arena Stage, breakout stages at the Dockmaster Building and 12 Stories lounge, and a multifunctional outdoor space at The Wharf's District Pier. All four venues hosted a wide range of programming from panel discussions with Dr. Anthony Fauci, performances by Michael R. Jackson and Freestyle Love Supreme, lively debates, underwriter perspectives, and sunset happy hours with signature cocktails.
Our team worked closely with The Atlantic, leveraging their new brand identity to create bespoke scenery and graphic treatments that tied all four venues together into a seamless festival campus experience for attendees.
